JFRA 6 Jame al Juyushi
₹6,000.00 – ₹18,000.00Price range: ₹6,000.00 through ₹18,000.00
Perched on the Muqattam Mountain that overlooks the city of Cairo, the Jamiʿ masjid, al-Juyushi represents the perpetuity of Fatimi faith and culture. Prior to its restoration by His Holiness Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin in 1995, it was in dire condition. At the inner apex of al-Juyushi’s main dome lies a verse of the Noble Quran that sheds light on the remarkable preservation of this masjid: ‘It is Allah Who sustains the heavens and the earth, lest they cease; and if they should fail, there is none – not one – who can sustain them thereafter’ (Q 35:41). Syedna Burhanuddin’s restoration of al-Juyushi, and especially of al-Jami al-Anwar before it, inform us that these historic Fatimi masjids are not meant to be shackled in the past, but embraced as dynamic venues for the declaration and reinvigoration of worship, faith and culture.
AL-Jami al-Juyushi is an apt example of how the decorative character of Fatimi architecture uniquely blends humility with spirituality. Its designs, though ornate, exude a quality of simplicity and subdued elegance. Thus, even within Islamic traditions of architecture, the Fatimi style strikes one as particularly modern. The inner apex of the dome also bears an elegant medallion beautifully intertwining the names of the Prophet Mohammed SAW and Maulana Ali SA. Fatimi faith and Fatimi architecture are also intertwined: faith enhances and defines architecture and architecture provides context and expression for faith. As such, Fatimi architecture is steeped in Fatimi faith and philosophy.

Cursive Writing Kids Workshop
₹1,200.00
Cursive writing is the style of writing in a connected manner where the letters give a cohertent flowing effect. The most widely used form of writing because of its flow and ease in writing that saves time instead of breaking the flow of writing after each letter.
The actual word ‘cursive’ comes from the Middle French word ‘cursif’, which comes from the Medieval Latin word ‘cursivus’ which means ‘running'. This makes sense as your pen is literally running along the page without breaking.
Learning cursive not only improves retention and comprehension, it engages the brain on a deep level as students learn to join letters in a continuous flow. It enhances fine motor dexterity and gives children a better idea of how letters work in combination. Joined-up handwriting develops motor skills and pen control. You can also recognise letters quicker by learning cursive. When you teach cursive handwriting, you’re practising important muscle movements. These are needed for manual dexterity. Being able to complete fine motor movements will also contribute to children’s hand-eye coordination. This is the reason of introducing cursive writing to children at a young age.
Good cursive hand gives a child the confidence to be able to write to express confidently and clearly. It gives a neat look to their assignments and helps in better assessment or future reference of notes. Later, in life although with the presence of keyboards, good handwriting is an impressive skill to have.

Biomorphic art is one of the three main forms in Islamic art, the others being calligraphy and geometry.
Biomorphic patterns vary greatly, and their application can be found in various crafts and architectural designs.
The popularity of floral motifs was because traditionally, living creatures and humans were not supposed to be depicted in Islamic art. Therefore, the plant kingdom provided subjects that were non-controversial and capable of stylization.
We find the traditional floral pattern carved on the textiles, ceramics, manuscripts, on the interiors and facades of famous architectural monuments ie. Madrasa, Masajids and tombs all over the islamic lands. However in Persia and central Asia the floral designs reached its Zenith especially in the Mughal era.
